Hosted by member businesses, these "free"
Chamber events provide a relaxed atmosphere and are held
in the morning or evening hours to accommodate the schedules
of our members. Great opportunity to network.
Seminar Series
A variety of topics are offered to successfully position
businesses. Seminars vary in size from smaller Brown-Bag
lunches to larger County forums.
Higher Education Scholarship Fund
Every year, the Chamber of Commerce grants deserving
high school seniors a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship
applicant must reside or attend school in South San Francisco.
We celebrate these achievements with a luncheon for the
students, their families, and scholarship sponsors.
GENENTECH
COMES TO TOWN
Each
year Genentech gives their employees a bonus of Genentech
money. For two weeks this money can be used at any of our
downtown merchants for purchases. The Chamber helps Genentech
by handling the exchange of Genentech money for cash. This
promotes South San Francisco businesses and boosts the economy
in the downtown area.
