First National Bank of Northern California

First National Bank of Daly City as it was originally called was founded in 1963 by a small group of local businessmen who saw firsthand how the big money center banks had little interest in the residents, businesses and the overall financial health of San Mateo County. It is now forty-four years later and that commitment remains as strong as ever.

When there is a need, First National Bank of Northern California is there. The Bank doesn’t just participate financially; they participate physically and provide in-kind donations as well. One of the community outreach events they are most proud of is Rebuilding Together. The bank both sponsors and participates in this event.

The bank also participates in Day in the Park, Santa Comes to Town,
Genentech Comes to Town, the Bocce Ball Tournament, and is the lead sponsor of the Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program. Other organizations the Bank supports are the American Heart Association, Samaritan House,
HIP Housing, and the 4 C’s.

The Bank encourages all of its Officers to participate in community and civic organizations. You will see employees of First National Bank of Northern
California as President of Chambers of Commerce, Kiwanis, Rotary, Soroptomists, and many other non-profit groups in South San Francisco and throughout San Mateo County.

In 2005 and 2006 the Bank received the honor of being voted one of the
San Francisco Business Times Best Places to Work in the Bay Area. First
National Bank of Northern California is not just another business in the
community, they are a leader and South San Francisco is proud to be home to their headquarters.
