Message from Board Co-Presidents

It is an honor to serve as Co-Presidents for a second year. 2008 marks not only the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the City of South San Francisco but it also marks the resurgence of the Chamber of Commerce as a strong advocate for its member businesses.

Our membership base continues to grow because the Chamber puts its members first when presenting its existing programs and developing new ones. The member-to-member campaign is very successful, and we continue to see the list of member-to-member opportunities grow. The events hosted by the Chamber for its membership are well received for the networking, promotional, and educational opportunities they afford to everyone who attends. The Chamber’s website is easily found by those researching and exploring the South San Francisco area thus providing our membership a tremendous marketing boost.

We encourage you to help us continue to strengthen our Chamber of Commerce. Refer residents and business representatives to the Chamber when they are seeking products and services. Encourage those not yet members to invest their time and resources by joining the Chamber. Involve yourself with the Chamber by attending the many events scheduled and by seeking out committees on which you are interested in serving. Use the website, directory, specialty guides, the newsletter, and other media to not only showcase your business, but to find out other services offered, area demographics, history and a wealth of timely and helpful information presented.

We seek your suggestions, ideas, and assistance as we guide the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce into the City’s second centennial. A strong chamber helps everyone associated with it; and in South San Francisco, our members come first. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you.
